Learning for Life Pathway

Welcome to Form 4

Form 4 is a class for students who are ready for their Skills for further Learning for Life pathway. We follow a functional curriculum focussing on 8 essential skills, that are part of the Skills Builder framework. These essential skills are; Speaking, Listening, Problem Solving, Creativity, Teamwork, Aiming High, Staying Positive and Leadership – they all help our young learners to develop essential life skills to succeed in their college life, the wider community and the world of work.

We will be getting out and about in the community to explore what is on offer. We will be using our developing independence skills, to travel and to engage with others, feeling a valued member of the community.

Work related learning is at the heart of our curriculum and we will be exploring different opportunities, where we can develop our work skills in a variety of external work and volunteer placements.

Form 4 have their own snack arrangement, which involves the students visiting local supermarkets to shop and purchase items. This is payable half termly at a cost of £1.50 per week. The students will be using public transport to navigate their way around the community. If you think your young person is eligible, please contact Warrington Council on the link below, as they could apply for a bus pass
