Skills for Employability Pathway
Welcome to Form 6

Form 6 is a class for students who are ready to further their learning on the Skills for Employability pathway. We follow a functional curriculum focussing on the essential skills and build upon them to succeed. We use Skills Builder, which is a framework which helps  young people to develop essential life skills for success in the 21st century.

We will be getting out and about in the community to explore what is on offer. We will be using our developing independence skills, to travel and to engage with others, feeling a valued member of the community.

Work related learning is at the heart of our curriculum and we will be exploring different opportunities, where we can develop our work skills in a variety of external work and volunteer placements.

Form 6 have their own snack arrangement, which involves the students visiting local supermarkets to shop and purchase items. This is payable half termly at a cost of £2 per week. The students will be using public transport to navigate they way around the community. If you think your young person is eligible, please contact Warrington Council  on the link below, as they could apply for a bus pass.
